2025 Camry SE to XSE Headlight Harness: What to Know Before You Upgrade
Upgrade planning for the 2025–2027 Camry LE/SE: compatible XLE/XSE headlights, plug-in connections, no fuse tap and no DRL-setting changes.
Want to install XSE headlights on your 2025 Camry SE? Start with two things: compatible headlight assemblies and the correct adapter harness. Our 2025–2027 Camry LE/SE to XLE/XSE headlight conversion harness handles the wiring connection without a fuse tap, added resistors or changes to your factory daytime running light settings.
We built this kit for owners who want a straightforward connection and a tidy installation. Here's what it does, what you still need and what to check before ordering.
Which Camry is this harness for?
The current kit covers 2025–2027 Toyota Camry LE and SE models when installing compatible XLE or XSE headlights for that generation. The product identifier is XV80_SEtoXSE. Match the vehicle year, original trim and replacement headlight part numbers before ordering.
A listing that says “XSE style” is not enough to establish compatibility with every aftermarket assembly. If you're buying headlights separately, send us the listing or part numbers so we can help you check the combination. Connector photos are useful, too.
Have a 2018–2024 Camry? That is a different application. Start with our XV70 Version 2 headlight adapter listing and its fitment notes. The newer and older harnesses should not be treated as interchangeable.
Your LE or SE already has LED headlights
This is an assembly conversion, not a generic halogen-to-LED bulb swap. Toyota's 2025 Camry brochure lists bi-LED projector headlights for LE/SE and dual LED projector headlights for XLE/XSE. The harness connects the compatible replacement assemblies; it does not turn an existing LE/SE headlight into an XSE headlight.
That distinction helps you budget for the project correctly. Choose the headlight assemblies first, confirm the connections and then add the matching harness.
What makes our conversion straightforward?
- Plug-in connections: the adapters connect the original vehicle wiring to compatible replacement headlights without cutting or splicing.
- No additional fuse tap: this kit does not require a separate fuse-tap connection.
- No added load resistors: you don't need to add resistors for this conversion.
- Factory DRL settings stay as they are: don't disable or change your daytime running light setting for the harness.
- Wrapped wire runs and locking connectors: the fabric wrapping keeps the wiring bundled, and the connector latches secure the connections.
- Reversible adapter installation: the plug-in arrangement preserves the original vehicle connections.
Those features remove extra wiring steps from the adapter installation. They don't remove the need to access, replace and correctly aim the headlights. Plan the whole job, including headlight removal and reassembly, rather than assuming “plug and play” means a tool-free headlight swap.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes the headlight conversion adapter harness set and four zip ties. XLE/XSE headlights are not included. Before starting, have the correct assemblies for both sides, the appropriate tools and Toyota's repair information for your vehicle.
Read the guide before removing the headlights
Our illustrated quick installation guide identifies the connections and walks through the adapter installation. Connector A, the white housing with a black insert, goes to the replacement headlight. Connectors B and C go to the vehicle's original plugs. Match the housing shape and latch shown in the guide; never force or modify a connector.
Use Toyota's service procedure for shutting down the vehicle, isolating the 12-volt battery, removing the assemblies, tightening fasteners and completing any required reset steps. This is work on the 12-volt lighting circuit. Do not touch orange high-voltage wiring or the hybrid service plug; disconnecting the 12-volt battery does not make that system safe to service.
Secure the harness clear of heat, moving parts, sharp edges and pinch points, leaving enough slack at the connectors. Once everything is reassembled, check both sides for low and high beams, DRLs, signals and the other lighting functions listed in the guide. Have the headlight aim checked before driving. Stop if a warning or lighting fault remains unresolved.
Lifetime replacement coverage
All our DistantXtremes harnesses carry a lifetime replacement warranty as long as the item is available and has not been discontinued. See our warranty page for the current terms and the information we need for a request. Keep your order number and proof of purchase.
Common questions before an upgrade
Do I need a fuse tap or resistor kit?
No. The current XV80 harness uses neither an additional fuse tap nor added load resistors. Follow this kit's instructions instead of borrowing wiring steps from an older Camry conversion.
Do I need to turn off the daytime running lights?
No. Leave the factory DRL settings unchanged.
Will it work with any headlight advertised for a 2025 Camry?
We don't make that blanket claim. It is intended for compatible XLE/XSE assemblies used on the listed LE/SE application. Confirm your exact headlights before ordering.
